Since its launch in July 2021, DeviantArt Protect has helped safeguard artists from art theft with state-of-the-art image recognition software. By September, we saw a 57% increase in successful takedown requests, and DeviantArt Protect has continued to notify artists of potential art theft since then, to resounding acclaim. How It Works :sherlock: DeviantArt Protect is designed with artists in mind. It scans submissions to DeviantArt for potential art theft and informs artists if their work was potentially stolen. If a deviant receives a notification, they can then begin the DMCA takedown request process directly from there. DeviantArt Protect also scans public blockchains and third-party marketplaces for potential art infringement in the form of minted non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
